Shadow Minister Visits Magheramorne
23-5-08

Earlier this month, Owen Paterson MP, Shadow Home Secretary for Northern Ireland (centre of picture) paid a visit to the Magheramorne site as part of a tour of the East Antrim constituency organised by local MP, Sammy Wilson (left).  To greet him was Lloyd McInally (right), our Ratings and Regeneration Manager who oversees the Magheramorne project for the company.

As with so many first-time visitors to the site, Mr Paterson was amazed at the scale of the site and its dramatic nature. He was also impressed with the imaginative proposals being put forward and the desire of Lafarge to leave a lasting, beneficial legacy for the people of East Antrim without seeking financial reward from the project.  He wished us well in turning our plans into reality.
